Lacostian's Last Words

Last month, Lacostian gave his life to save the mortal races and to
protect the planes. This is a transcript of his final words, with the
broken up pieces filled in by yours truly.

"Finally something works as planned, the spell worked."

"Listen to Me, mortals, for time is of the essence once again."

Here, Lacostian was told that we were listening. "Good. What have you
found in Xion?"

When informed that we had NOT found Xion. "Your words make no sense to
Me, you can't find Xion? Surely if my brother found it then it must have
been revealed, has there been no sign of Elcyrion?"

When informed that there had been no sign of Elcyrion. "Very well,
listen to Me, there is not much time."

"I am going to die."

"The Akashic is being ripped apart, ground into miniscule parts of dust,
it is only a matter of time before My essence will ..a..ure as well."

Due to increasing protestations over his apparently imminent death:
"SILENCE!"

"Time is of the essence."

"I do not wish this to have been in vain, here are My instructions."

"I will use part of My essence to reach through the planes and cast a
spell on Avechna's Peak. This will cost Me greatly, but this will not
matter."

"This spell will place a Mo.ld over one of Xyl's old spires, enabling
you to partially rebuild it."

"I will place a lure on prime to draw a creature called a grodak, which
you Must slay. They will be the foundation for the spire."

"You will obtain shards of crystal which you must prepare, you may do
this in an aetherbubble, which I have no doubt you will find, for you
make p..t here often. I will not waste time explaining this part."

"Keep adding crystal to the spire until it is concrete, after this you
should be able to re-establish the link between prime and Xion that Xyl
used in ancient times."

"You must create this link and speak to Elcyrion. Find out what happened
and assist Him in using Xion."

"Tell him that it is the nexuses that are the cause, and that He should
follow his instinct on how to anchor them. I have the fondest faith in
Him."

When told that we would. "Then I must prepare My spell."

"Farewell. I wish you luck, mortals. You shall need it."

At this point, He ceased to speak and we rushed to the summit of
Avechna's Peak. A tremendous power was felt over the area, and we heard
Lacostian cry out in pain as a rift opened and crystal grodak entered
prime and spread to all of the planes.

On that month, Lacostian gave his life that the planes might continue to
exist, and the mortal races might continue to carry on. Perhaps this is
not permanent, perhaps it can be reversed. But perhaps not. This was
truly an immortal worthy of worship and adoration.
